Aims and scope
Journal of Communications and Information Networks (JCIN) is an English language academic journal authorized by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, sponsored by Posts & Telecom Press Co., Ltd., published by China InfoCom Media Group, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Communications Society. JCIN has been included in EI Compendex, IEEE Xplore Digital Library, Scopus, and the core version of China Science Citation Database (CSCD).
JCIN is a quarterly publication focusing on the emerging fields of communications and information networks, publishing innovative and transformative research papers. The general scope ranges from theoretical contributions to practical implementation, and includes, but is not limited to the following: broadband wireless communications, optical communications, satellite communications, high altitude platform communications, software defined radio, cognitive radio networks, mobile Ad hoc networks, software defined networks, multimedia communications, Internet of things, cyber security, and network management.
Advantage and mission
Information industry has become the commanding elevation of the global strategy in the world today, having a far-reaching impact on political, economic, cultural, social, military, and other fields. Many interdisciplinary researches are on the rise at home and abroad. Merging of communications, electronics, computer, and automation promotes the birth and development of spatial information networks, quantum communication networks, 5G communication technology, cyber physical systems, cyberspace security, future networks, and other new technologies and applications.
Projects researched by the editorial board of JCIN have covered the above emerging areas and the editorial members have become the main force for research projects. So the innovation of research results and article sources can be ensured. We have set up editorial member accountability to solve the problem of relatively fewer articles in the early stage and ensure the quality and quantity of manuscripts.
JCIN will follow the domestic and international major research projects. Emphasis is placed on providing the reader with emerging and advanced information of fundamental theory, technical developments, research issues, and new applications to meet the needs of future trends. Authors of JCIN are academicians or professors, and they can provide a high-end academic platform for readers and have great leverage on academic. Now, China has more than 200 thousand researchers and senior engineers and more than 150 thousand students working in the field of communications and information networks. They will be the most direct beneficiaries of JCIN and the group will gradually extend to all over the world.
In China, networks are expanding rapidly and there are a lot of scientific research teams whose participation in the international projects is increasing. Altogether, a lot of high-quality academic resources are available in China. However, the number and level of the existing English academic journals cannot meet the requirements of researchers’ growing demands for fast-changing academic exchange in the field of communications and information networks. Articles published by JCIN combine both the rapid development of China’s networks and the leading research on global communications and networks, demonstrate research achievements in China adequately, as well as absorb foreign research achievements, and provide a high quality academic platform for the international exchange on networks.
