The PTPress is active in copyright trade and exchanges with foreign partners. The PTPress's well-known partners from abroad include: TTA (The Telecommunication Association) of Japan, Microsoft of the US, McGraw-Hill Education Book Co., Pearson Education, Inc., Penguin Books Ltd., U.K., Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press.

In 1993, the PTPress and Denmark's Egmont jointly established the first and only joint-venture publishing house in China: Children's Fun Publishing Co., Ltd..

The PTPress participates actively in social and public welfare activities, such as making numerous donations to Project Hope, Project for Helping Poor Mothers as well as to various disaster relief activities. Many books have been donated to underdeveloped regions and to universities in China.

The PTPress enjoys friendly contacts with various international organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Universal Postal Union (UPU) and Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT). Several Chiefs of the Conferences Department and Common Services Department of the ITU have visited the PTPress. The PTPress delegations have either exhibited at or visited the ITU TELECOMs since 1983.
