Following Resolution 65 of the Plenipotentiary Conference of the ITU (Nairobi, 1982), the Chinese versions of the ITU publications started to be published by the PTPress since 1982. Since 1984, with the approval of the then MPT, the PTPress signed an agreement with the ITU and started the translation and publication of the Chinese versions of selected ITU publications. In 1985, a long-term cooperation agreement was signed between the two parties. Following Resolutions 59 (Nice, 1989), 62 (Kyoto, 1994), 103 (Minneapolis, 1998) of the Plenipotentiary Conference of the ITU, the cooperation of the PTPress and the ITU have been extended in scope, with the number of publications increased and the quality of printing improved. Up till present, more than 90,000 pages of the ITU publications in Chinese have been published.
